Damaged or degraded insulation will cause equipment damage or perhaps even a failure. TruPower Associates offers a solution for almost every type of insulation resistance testing.
  • Megger, Inc.'s new S1-552 and S1-554 5 kV Insulation Resistance Test Sets have noise rejection features that enable accurate measurements in a high noise environment such as substations and switchyards (noise and interference rejection to 2mA or 4mA). These units provide a voltage output of 5 kV and capability to measure to 15 TW on the digital scale. S1 Series insuulation resistance testers have a charging current of 5 mA , the highest in the industry, to stabilize the readings in difficult capacitance equipment like large motors and generators. Tests include automatic dielectric absorption ratio, polarization index, step voltage, and dielectric discharge. The units have onboard memory for results storage, are line supply or battery operated, and data can be downloaded via RS232 or USB ports.

  • Megger, Inc.'s new S1-1052 and S1-1054 10 kV Insulation Resistance Test Sets have noise rejection features that enable accurate measurements in a high noise environment such as substations and switchyards (noise and interference rejection to 2mA or 4mA). These units provide a voltage ourput of 10 kV and capability to measure up to 35 TW on the digital scale. S1 Series 10 kV models are particuarly suited for testing to the  IEEE standards required for testing motors rated greater than 12 kV. The units have a charging current of 5 mA , the highest in the industry, to stabilize the readings in difficult capacitance equipment like large motors and generators. Tests include automatic dielectric absorption ratio, polarization index, step voltage, and dielectric discharge. The units have onboard memory for results storage, are line supply or battery operated, and data can be downloaded via RS232 or USB ports.
